Day 1: Reach and Leisure at Leh - market & Ladakhi Life

Fly-in to reach Leh. Leisure & Acclimatize. 

A colorful city amidst the gigantic mountains – some brown, some pink and some green – with hues of yellow and blue skies 

Highlights: Stupas overlooking the city | Capture the nights of town from Shanti Stupa |Old Market Walks | local cafes - Chocolate Donuts – Local Organic Apricot Jams | Guided Walks

Stay: Beautiful hotel overlooking the mountains

Meals: Breakfast/Lunch

Day 2: Leh to Hunder via world’s highest motorable road  into the cold deserts

A journey through world’s highest motorable road – Khardungla into the real cold deserts of Ladakh – The Nubra Valley

Highlights: Cold Deserts| Khardangla Pass canteen – Lemon tea | Sunset photography at the Sand Dunes | Double Humped Camel Safaris |Ladakhi food – Thukpa, thick soups – nourishing and mildly flavored | Diskit Monastery

Stay: Homestay/Camp; Meals: Breakfast | Ladakhi Dinner

Travel Distance: ~200 kms | Travel Time: 8 Hrs

Day 3: Hunder to Pangong Tso Lake – drive through white sands and a river bed

We take an off-the-beaten and one of the most beautiful paths in Ladakh region

Highlights: White Sands | drive parallel to Shyok river | Pangong Lake – the enchanted lake | Hike along the lake 

Stay: Homestay/Boutique Hotel

Meals: Breakfast 

Disclaimer: This route is subject to weather conditions. This road is mostly open only in May-June and October. If this route is closed then we shall drive back to Leh and then next day drive to Pangong Tso from Leh. 

Day 4: Pangong Lake to Leh via Thicksey Monastery and Shey Palace

A leisurely travel day stopping at picturesque spots and experience the beautiful quaint villages around Leh.

Highlights: Stopover at picturesque points | local cafes | Stay Chang La pass – World’s 3rd highest motorable road | Sip Black tea at the summit for a photography break | Butter Tea – Seabuckthorn Juice

Stay: Village Stay – Stok | Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 5: Leh – Lamayuru Monastery Circuit 

Highlights: Alchi Monastery | Liker Monastery | Magnetic Hill | Sangam – Indus & Zanskar river confluence | Gurudwara Pather Sahib | Hall of fame museum

Day 6: Leh – Rafting, Leisure and the life of a Ladakhi

The vantage of the Ladakh mountains from its very own Zanskar river
